The British Mountaineering Council states that … “rock-climbing, hill-walking, and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own activities and involvement“… We endorse that statement.

It is vitally important you recognise that YOU are responsible for your own safety and that rock, weather conditions, vegetation, and the condition of in-situ protection can change, and that individuals’ fitness and abilities vary.

Consequently, on the day you attempt a climb, it is essential the route taken, gear placed, and techniques used are decided by yourself, based on your own assessment of your ability, and the conditions before you at the time. Do not simply copy the climb, or gear used, in a Climber’s Path Film or Pack.
